🇬🇧 Which distance gives you the most confidence?
I feel most comfortable from distances over 55 metres.What is your greatest achievement so far?
That’s a very difficult question, because every achievement has its own story. But my individual World Championship is definitely in my top three. At the same time, my podium finishes in Ireland (2x second and 2x third) are just as important to me. And of course, the European Championships (2x), the Catalan Opens (3x), and the Dutch Opens (9x) are all achievements I’m very proud of.Which course is still on your bucket list?
There are still a number of Pitch & Putt courses in Ireland on my bucket list. We’ve already played many of them, but there are still plenty left to discover.Why should the other players keep an eye on you?
Because I’ve been among the top Dutch Pitch & Putt players for many years. So if the other players keep an eye on me, it makes perfect sense from a sporting point of view: I’m someone who regularly competes for titles and is capable of winning tournaments. I also stay calm under pressure and simply take the game as it comes.

Me siento más cómodo a partir de los 55 metros.
¿Cuál es tu mayor logro hasta ahora?
Es una pregunta muy difícil, porque cada logro tiene su propia historia. Pero mi Campeonato del Mundo individual está, sin duda, entre mis tres mayores logros. Al mismo tiempo, mis puestos en el podio en Irlanda (2 veces segundo y 2 veces tercero) son igual de importantes para mí. Y, por supuesto, los Campeonatos de Europa (2), los Abiertos de Cataluña (3) y los Abiertos de los Países Bajos (9) también son logros de los que me siento muy orgulloso.
¿Qué campo sigue estando en tu lista de deseos?
Todavía hay varios campos de Pitch & Putt en Irlanda que quiero jugar. Ya hemos jugado en muchos de ellos, pero aún quedan bastantes por descubrir.
¿Por qué deberían los demás jugadores fijarse en ti?
Porque llevo muchos años formando parte de la élite del Pitch & Putt neerlandés. Así que, si los demás jugadores me tienen en cuenta, tiene sentido desde un punto de vista deportivo: soy un jugador que suele luchar por los títulos y que puede ganar un torneo. Además, siempre mantengo la calma bajo presión y afronto el juego tal y como viene.

Boven de 55 meter vind ik het meest prettig.
Wat is je grootste prestatie tot nu toe?
Dat vind ik heel moeilijk; alles heeft wel een verhaal. Maar het individueel WK staat sowieso in mijn top 3. Tegelijkertijd zijn de podiumplaatsen in Ierland (2x tweede en 2x derde) eigenlijk net zo belangrijk. En uiteraard zijn de EK’s (2x), de Catalaanse Opens (3x) en de Dutch Opens (9x) ook allemaal mooie prestaties.
Welke baan staat nog op jouw bucketlist?
Een aantal Pitch & Putt-banen in Ierland staat nog op mijn lijstje. We hebben er al veel gespeeld, maar er zijn er ook nog genoeg te gaan.
Waarom moeten de andere deelnemers juist jou in de gaten houden?
Omdat ik al jarenlang tot de top van het Nederlandse Pitch & Putt behoor. Dus als andere deelnemers mij ‘in de gaten houden’, is dat in sportieve zin logisch: ik ben iemand die regelmatig meedoet om de prijzen en een wedstrijd kan winnen. Daarnaast blijf ik ook altijd rustig onder druk en neem ik het spel zoals het komt.
